Andromeda - Unique Standing Stones of Skyrim Mod 1.1.2

Andromeda - Unique Standing Stones of Skyrim Mod is a downloadable file that completely transforms the vanilla standing stones in Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This mod introduces new powers and effects based on the stone you choose and how many you discover. It is similar to other mods like Mundus and Aurora, but Andromeda goes a step further by replacing the effects of all the stones in Skyrim and adding multiple unique effects for each stone.

In the original game, the standing stones offered basic buffs for the player, but they didn't provide much beyond that. They were merely novelties to discover and then forget about. However, Andromeda aims to change that by completely replacing each stone's effect with two new ones. Additionally, if you discover all the standing stones in Skyrim, each stone unlocks an additional effect.

For example, the Steed Stone's effect is completely changed in Andromeda. Instead of just offering additional carrying capacity and weightless armor, it now increases carrying capacity by 50, adds landmarks to the map, boosts movement speed and stamina outside of combat, and allows you to open a magic storage space to store or retrieve items at will with the unlockable effect. These unique effects replace the mundane attributes of the standing stones in the base game.

Andromeda is compatible with most mods, as it only modifies the effects and buffs of each stone. It should not cause any conflicts or issues, except with mods that have the same purpose, such as Aurora. Apart from similar standing stone mods, Andromeda works well with other modifications.

If you find the standard effects of the standing stones too simple, Andromeda is a lightweight mod that adds depth to your gameplay. It can inspire new character builds and gives you a reason to explore and search for all the stones in Skyrim. The mod maintains a lore-friendly approach and doesn't fundamentally change the purpose of the standing stones themselves.

Although the mod doesn't receive frequent updates and doesn't add additional stones or effects, any reported bugs are promptly addressed through hotfixes.
